At $379, this system is cheaper than the Eee PC 900 series ($550 - $600), the MSI Wind (planned at $399 with Linux and $499 with XP), and the HP MiniNote (starts at $499, but most configs are much higher). It even sports a better price than the 7-inch first-gen Eee PC 4G (still $399 in most places), while offering a powerful Atom processor and a 1024×600 screen."

I'll be keeping my eye on this one. It has the bigger screen that I'm looking for over my current Eee but without the significantly higher price many of the competitors have.

I think this will take away the Asus EEE market on the lower end, and the HP unit will take it away on the higher end. This Acer unit has the right price point, and WAY better hardware than the EEE to boot.

What version of Windows are they going to throw on it?

Hmmm ... it doesn't say, but there was XP implied somewhere I had read about.

Yeah, I strongly suspect Windows XP...
