I'm considering buying a 3.7v 2200 mAh (high capacity) battery for my iPAQ 2210, on ebay, for when I'm using it with my Bluetooth-linked GPS unit. Anyone here have any experience of these please? It comes with an oversize replacement battery cover, and presumably won't then fit my Krusell leather case (which at best has about 1/10" slack). Are there special cases for these?

The alternative is to take a spare 1000 mAH battery and replace it while walking, but Sod's Law inevitably means that will be at an awkward point ;-)

Terry,

I once owned the HP 4150 and purchased the extended battery for it. I liked the idea behind have the extra power, but I think if I had to do it all over again I would buy one or two extra 1000 mAH batteries. The device became much thicker and heavier and looked kind of strange.

If you do decide to buy the extended battery you can buy a nice leather case for it from Piel Frama. Here is a link directly to what your looking for:

I hope this helps. Good luck and let us know what you decided to do.
