I hope that the synchronisation is more stable than CO 2007, which became so bad, that I'm inputting the data on my Windows Mobile intraday, then manually into Money 2005 two or three times per week.

I have the 2007 version and, from the web page, couldn't see too many 'new' features. The interface looks the same, and many of the 'new' features are already in 07. Like the previous writer, I too have found syncing very unreliable. 07 just made matters even worse. I wont be upgrading.

Various user have posted in Inesoft forum regarding payee synchronization error. Just wonder this issue is fixed or not. Just keep waiting to see what is improved or jsut cosmestic update every year.

Yep, I had bad luck with the sync as well. Plus, thier Tech Support was less than helpful. The program is really impressive from a feature standpoint, but I suggest that one try it before they send in their hard earned $$$.

I own Cash Organizer 2007 and I like it quite a bit. I was excited to see that they released a new version, but I'm very disappointed to find the following:
- Their "completely redesigned interface" looks identical to 2007.
- Their new "express module" was included in 2007.
- Their new "loan calculator" was included in 2007.
- Their new "customizable today plug-in" was included in 2007.
- Their new "payee manager" was included in 2007.

On the inesoft.com website if you click on the "more information about Feature & Benefits", the URL contains "page=2007_feature.htm".

Also, someone posted a comment in the inesoft forums saying "I am not clear what the benifits of upgrading are for me - the interface all looks the same as 2007. Are all the changes under the hood?" a couple of days ago, but nobody has responded to that post.

All of this leads me to believe that they are just changing the product name to 2008 and keeping all the same features. No wonder they're offering it as a free upgrade if you own 2007.

I just downloaded the CO 2008 trial, as I'm looking for a replacement for Pocket Quicken (ugh) and Spb Finance (totally unsupported).

It seems to install OK, but as soon as I dock my Axim (X51V) it crashes ActiveSync. Uninstalled 3 times, soft-resets in between, and tried different install locations (Program Files, Storage Card, etc..), no luck.

I can't even BEGIN to use this thing. Starting CO on the PDA only goes to the opening screen where it offers to create a new account or import data from Spb Finance. I can' create a new account, but that's all. Attempting to import existing Spb data just crashes it.

Too bad, looked like a nice app.

Doesn't anyone anywhere write decent software anymore?

I never got CO2007 to work w either Money 2007 or Quicken 2007after upgrading. I was told to follow the help file "properly". I demandied my money back from Handango and actually got it. I tried a trial of Spb Finance and it worked flawless.

Good luck all. CO works for some and not for others. Just look at all the bug submission at their forum... I'm not alone

The shame about their "forum" is it seems nobody's home.
MOST of the questions there have gone unanswered for months.

At least glad to see Handango took care of it for you. I've been buying from them for years and only had to ask for a refund once, and they gave me no problems whatsoever.

I really like the Cash Organizer application. I can't live without it now.

I waited quite a while before upgrading from the version prior to CO2006. The main reason was the lack of support for Quicken 2007. With the release of CO2006, it announced support for Quicken 2007 and Windows Vista.

Upon reading the posts on Inesoft's forum regarding sync issues, especially with Vista, I was very apprehensive about the upgrade -- First because of the Quicken 2007 upgrade, then because of my newly acquired Vista-based PC.

Fortunately, the whole process of installing and using both Quicken 2007 and CO2007 went fairly well. There are still times when the sync process fails, but I simply disconnect and reconnect my device and it magically works.

If the upgrade to 2008 is indeed free, I'll go ahead and give it a try. As always, I'll have a backup of everything prepared just in case of disaster.

Yes, I also wonder about the lack of posts from Inesoft's people to their forum, but I guess if you don't have an answer or anything to say, why say it? :? Maybe "No comment" says it all!

So far there is no information about the difference between CO2007 and CO2008. It seems CO2008 is just repacking of CO2007 or just adding Quicken and Windows Vista support. It is not worth for user who use MS Money and Windows XP only in additon to certain exist issue such as payee error has no information has been fixed. I have recently tried Ultrasoft Money to synchronize my MS Money to my pocket pc and it works flawlessly. Moreover, the support forum is quite active and helpful that user can interactively discuss their experience. Most likely I shall give up years of Cash Organizer. This is what Inesoft push its loyal customer to other competitor.

i think some crashes can be caused by USB hub, i dont know why, but it works stable if i use USB to miniUSB cable. I stoped using my USB hub because it killed my usb hard drive and then it killed my flash drive
since that ActiveSync never crashed, but some problems with inernet sharing has been started...
LOoking for a replacement for ActiveSync, wth internet sharing support, any suggestions?
ps
CO2008 works faster, payee manager and express module differs from 2007, total and today summary fixed
free upgrade from 2007 to 2088
free upgrade from 2008 to 2009

I was hoping to move to this software since SPB Finance is dead in the water for Quicken users.

But I also keep runnnig into the crashing ActiveSync issue. Has anyone been able to get around this?
