<a href="http://www.ddhsoftware.com/handbase.html">http://www.ddhsoftware.com/handbase.html</a><br /><br />DDH Software has released a new version of their popular HanDBase product, version 4. <br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/hansberry/2007/20071219-handbase4.jpg" /><br /><br />New features include:<br />• 5 way navigation select support<br />• Windows Mobile 5/6 menu optional support- Show menu items using the newer soft key style or choose the traditional toolbar format via the preferences.<br />• Encryption Password Caching - When you open a database, the password you entered is optionally remembered and then used for subsequent saves/closes of the database. <br />• Auto Close Feature - Optionally set program to auto close all open databases when there is no activity for some time.<br />• 128 bit encryption - Now encrypts with 128 bit Safer-SK encryption for increased security and tamper proofing.<br /><br />If you are a current HanDBase owner, log into your account and go to the download screen for upgrade pricing. If you aren't, and have been looking for a database designed for mobile devices, they have a 30 day trial. Note that they have versions ranging from $39.99 to $99.99 depending on what external sources (Access, ODBC, etc.) you want to connect to and sync with.

Thanks for the this story. I've been a HanDBase user since v.2, on both PocketPC and PalmOS platforms. Recently I moved back to Windows Mobile and dug out an older WM version of v.3. I'm glad to see that DDH Software is once again offering crossgrade/upgrade pricing, so I was able to simultanaeously crossgrade back to PocketPC and upgrade to v.4 all for a substantial discount off the retail price.
