I use my Tilt constantly for an all-in-one media/gaming/PIM/gps/phone sytem. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and recently started moving my music collection to it. Awesome.

I've started to become more interested in Amazon's non-DRM, non-platform specific music download store. It's pretty great.

For Amazon, I generally like to download songs directly into my Tilt over the 3g connection (true instant gratification). You are allowed to purchase and download individual songs directly, but for albums they require that you use their proprietary "MP3 Downloader" app.

I don't have a problem with them requiring a download manager per se., but it is Vista/WinXP/OSX only (no Win Mobile version) so I must be tethered to my PC if I want buy and album.

I wrote them and they said:

Hello from Amazon.com.

Unfortunately, at this point in time we do not offer a Windows Mobile
version of the MP3 downloader, and future plans to design the MP3
downloader specifically for the Windows Mobile operating system have
not been announced...

Has anyone else started to do much music downloading with Amazon?

I'd love to get a little energy behind pushing them to come out with a way to directly download entire albums...

I love their service! I was using it recently for their Pepsi Points (I dink way to much Pepsi) and didn't have to go through the hassle of making a CD then ripping the CD into MP3. I wish they had a prepaid card system as well, like the Zune and iTunes. I had to go back to Zune market for a few songs and it was a real pain because I had gotten use to only having to download to one folder and all my iPods and Zunes picked up the new song.
