View Full Version : Earliest PPC w/ persistent application memory

I've got a simple scenario and I'm looking for essentially the cheapest PPC that will do.

I load my ppc with some software (Laridan) and often throw it in my bag or pocket and take it with me. I often leave it in the bag for weeks and the battery dies.

I'm ok w/ losing any notes that I didn't save but I don't want to have to reinstall all the software every time this happens.

I know a few revs back PPC solved this problem but I'm not sure which version and which hardware this appeared on.

What was the earleest PPC/hardware to support persistent application memory (across battery die/recharge?)

Thanks,
Dave

The change in the memory model occurred with Windows Mobile 5 - which means any device that came with that OS natively (there are a number of models that were upgraded from WM2003SE) will fit your requirements.
