Version 2.0 builds on the powerful capabilities of the original: operation of your Window Mobile device from a Windows PC through a familiar ease-to-use Outlook-style user interface, SMS-ing directly from your PC through your phone including chat mode, and powerful features to manage all the important personal data on your Smartphone or Pocket PC phone such as the ability to backup and restore of all your vital data."

I used Jeyo's Mobile Companion product for a few years to download my SMS'es and stopped only when I wiped my system and realized that I really never needed to reference old SMS messages! Anyway, Jerry over at SPT reports that there have been Vista compatibilities issues with previous versions of Mobile Companion (Even Vista ready releases), so Vista users may want to make sure the software works before they purchase. Otherwise, you can't really argue with Jeyo's product - it works well, and is great if you think you'll ever need to look up that old SMS!
