View Full Version : Folder sort on "Save As" dialog messed up

Since moving up to a WM 5 device, I've noticed the list of folders that pop up when I want to save a document is all messed up. I'm used to seeing a nice alphabetical list. Instead, the folders seem to be randomly listed, with small bits of alphabetization thrown in for fun. Just in case this affected anything, I last used the File Explorer under "Name" sort and there was no effect that I could see. This has been a problem for quite some time...just getting tired of it. Any ideas?

Yah -- it does this in WM6 too.

Did a programmer at MS forget to sort?

Or did someone decide that sorting was too slow??

Ouch! I was hoping this was just me and I could make a tweak somewhere to fix it.

Cybrid,

Thanks for the tip! I installed the Mad Programmer's File Dialog Changer (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=356534). It worked well and solved my problem. I still wonder why something like this can't be built-in?
