This device weighs in at 5.15 ounches and is 4.45" x 2.52" x 0.63" in size. Wireless-wise, it's similar to the iPAQ 600: quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, tri-band HSDPA, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and assisted GPS. A Marvell PXA270 CPU humming along at 520 mhz handles the processing, and the storage consists of 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of Flash ROM. A microSD card is your only external storage option. The 1840 mAh battery should keep it running for quite a while, but the industry-standard miniUSB charging port will help out if you need to recharge. The camera looks identical to the 600 series: 3 megapixels, 4x digital zoom, etc. They went with a 2.5 mm headphone jack, which is unfortunate.

On the plus side, the 2.46 inch screen at 320 x 240 resolution is sure going to look nice - at first I thought this was a square-screen device, but it seems it's not. There's no word about the price point, but I suspect it will be in the $599 USD range. Since this device isn't up on HP's Web site yet, check out the complete spec sheet if you want more details. We'll do our best to get you a review of this new device as well.

I definitely want one! It pretty much has every feature I am after in a smartphone...this might even make me give up the Nokia E61i that I am currently using (and am thrilled with :) )

Calm down, my fast-beating heart. Just two more years before your promise to stay with your Pocket Loox T830 runs out. After that, you can buy whatever phone you want, including this hotness

i was wondering if there might a comprehensive chart where one can actually compare the 900 and the 600 series... wouldn't that be great !!

A worthy upgrade to my hw6945 when they release, and if that $599 price point holds I'll get on board with this.

My hope is that they may release a model that supports T-Mobile's brand of 3G.

When and how much? With the S630 being $500-odd on mobilecityonline and only having windows mobile 6 standard. I'm guessing this will be atleast $100 more expensive... perhaps even more than that. Which puts a whole world of hurt on what will be an already injured wallet in Q4 due to christmas....

Not so strange, the 900 is missing from the list whilst the 610 is $599. So... $699 for the 900, damn, thats a lot of money.
