<i>"Electric Pocket's Ringo Mobile, the leading ringtone manager for Pocket PC Phones and Windows Mobile Smartphones, now supports Windows Mobile 6 and includes more options for identifying incoming callers. Among the new features of Ringo Mobile is the ability to quickly and easily associate a picture or other graphic to appear when incoming calls arrive. Pictures enable Ringo Mobile users to identify a caller with a quick glance, even when the phone is set in vibrate mode."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/tour2.jpeg" /><br /><br />The idea of having different ringtones for each caller is great...as long as you can remember who belongs to which ring! Now, add a picture to make it nice and clear. Download a demo <a href="http://software.pocketpcthoughts.com/product.asp?id=4709">here</a> (affiliate link).

I think this new version 1.3 should be considered beta. I've had version 1.29 working perfectly for many months, but when I installed 1.30, I got a message saying that Ringo could not be installed on my SD card. Version 1.29 worked fine on my card, so I had to uninstall this old version first.

After installing the new version, I tried to change the default ringtone, and everytime I tried this, my device froze requiring soft reset. Tried it twice, and now I'll go back to my stable version.....

FYI - I have WM5, so maybe the new version only works with WM6?

Can't you do this anyway from WM5 onwards?

Do what? Set custom ringtones? Well, Pocket Informant allows you to set the WM5 custom ringtone field by contact, however, I found that if I use this feature, I get two seconds of my default ringtone before it switches to the custom ringtone. Ringo works seamlessly. Also, Ringo allows tones to be set by category, and generally is feature rich.

Hi,
you can select a picture and a ringtone in 'contacts', although you can't do groups
