Starting July 6th with the Dopod D810 (HTC P3600), then the 838Pro (HTC TyTn) on the 9th, with the U1000 (HTC Advantage) and P800w (P3300) closing out the giving on the 11th and 13th."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/hisham-20070710-winmob6siteupg.jpg" /><br /><br />Since we're up to the 10th already, the ROMs for the D810 and 838Pro should already be up, and the U1000 and P800w should be up in the next couple of days. If you're in the possession of one of these devices, and you're hankering for some WM6 action, you've just got your wish! And let the rest of us poor bodies know how you get on. :D

:( Dopod/HTC just changed the dates:

July 10: D810
July 12: 838Pro
July 13: P800W
July 20: U1000

Guess they're not ready yet. :|

The ROM images were up, but appear to have been pulled.

Yeesh, that's a bummer :(

Can anybody access the D810 ROM since we're up to the 10th already?

This upgrade is for unlocked/unbranded TyTn's right. It won't work with a SIM locked Cingular 8525?

Since the photos in the website are all Dopod devices, will the WM6 update also work on their "unlocked" counterparts like the HTC TyTn?

This upgrade is for unlocked/unbranded TyTn's right.

Specifically for the Dopod variants to be precise, though with HTC officially taking over there won't be much difference going forward.

It won't work with a SIM locked Cingular 8525?

It might work - but I personally wouldn't risk it.

The WM6 ROM for D810 is now available at the HTC site. :)

Anyone know of the availability of WM6 for other HTC unlocked devices such as the S620?

Trying this from Norway - it seems you have to me a member of the HTC Asia club (rather than the htc.com version)...and I guess that downloading a Hong Kong version of the ROM is not going to help me with a Norwegian keyboard TyTN, right? Has anyone tried the TyTN ROM from outside Asia?

Thanks for your advice...

Hi, Does anyone know of a WM6 upgrade plan for the HTC P4300? I think it's also called the Cingular 8125. Does it have any other names? My carrier's support of the P4300 is almost zero. Thanks in advannce.

Plenty of other names (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Wizard), but given the age of this device, I don't seriously think there will ever be an official WM6 upgrade for this. You can find an unofficial ROM however, but use at your own risk.
