Retrieving Synched Contacts from my computer to my 8525??? HELP!

I was just wondering... before I update my firmware, I wanted to save my phone number contacts on my Cingular 8525 to my computer so I dont lose them. When I initiate ActiveSyn 4.2, I hecked the box next to "Contacts" in options. It showed that I synced my 85 contacts. How do I check to see if they are on the computer? And how do I put them back on the phone when I am done updating? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

on your companion cd there should be a copy of outlook. if you installed it you would have access to your contacts on the pc. AS syncs those contacts to that database. install it and configure it then sync. once done you'll be able to verify if they're there successfully.
