http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3858

"On Saturday I wrote about the so far unannounced Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the O2 Xda orbit (aka HTC Artemis), today the German carrier made it available already! Looks like O2 Germany takes the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade serious. After they've released the HTC terra with Windows Mobile 6, now they follow with the availability of ROM upgrades for their already available line of devices and the first one is the Windows Mobile Professional ROM for the Xda orbit."

According to Arne Hess' note, it's available now from O2 Germany, with this cautionary note: "As always - please keep in mind that this is a German ROM update for German Xda orbit's. It's not made to be flashed to any other devices". The update for the Xda trion (HTC Hermes) won't be released until mid-June.

Congrats to all those O2 owners who will qualify for the free upgrade/update!

Wish it was happening for me and the other Axim x51v orphans... 8O

Hey, I own an Orbit and a x50v, so one out of two isn't bad. ;-)

Does anybody know if an update for the xda neo is planned?
Is it recommendable to install the orbit update on the neo? I guess it is not, right, considering the orbit has for example a built-in GPS chipset?
