I haave an IPAQ 2755 with some dead pixels in the screen and am loooking to upgrade to a 2795 or another comparable PDA. What has your experience been with th 2795?

Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks. :)

Battery life is good, the finger-print sensor works but may need some getting used to. I personally don't use it. There seem to be two versions of the 2790/2795. The version I had before had 64mb RAM/256mb ROM but shortly after the motherboard died, they changed the motherboard to one with a 128mb RAM/128mb ROM. The 624MHz processor is quite powerful and I can run PlayStation/SNES/NES emulation without much speed problems, same with Skype. The only major disadvantage with this device is the battery drain bug. Sometimes the device goes on standby and drains all the power from the battery - very annoying. There are ways to get around it such as disabling automatic ActiveSync but it's not a guaranteed fix as lately, I am still having those problems.

For the same price (or cheaper), you can probably find a Dell Axim x51v, which is practically the same as the 2790/2795, but with a VGA screen and video accelerator.

Thanks Jestermania. My 2755 turns on by itself too and drains the battery. I was hoping that would not happen with the 2795.

The version of WM5 HP uses is ancient. On my device, it is AKU 1.0.1...I wish they'd make updates to their OS to fix these problems.
