As is quite common for a Samsung FCC filing, details are kept to a bare minimum with only the ID label documentation giving us visual confirmation that this is the phone we think it is."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/martin-20070403-Samsung-i760-FCC.jpg" /><br /><br />After months of <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51815">rumor</a>, <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=53107">more rumor</a>, <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=53509">lukewarm anticipation</a>, and trade show <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=53299">sightings</a>, the new <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/02/11/more-shots-of-samsungs-i760/">Samsung i760</a> for Verizon is closer to release with FCC approval. According to some specs floating around, the SCH-i760 will be a Dual-Band CDMA Phone with 802.11b/g WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0 and 1xEVDO. It will also contain 128 MB of storage with 64MB RAM and a micro-SD slot, a sliding qwerty keyboard and a 1.3 MP camera. The number keypad arrangement still looks a little strange, but I guess it has to stand out from all of the other Crossbow devices on the field.

I'm hoping my faithful i700 lasts until I can upgrade to an i760. It's a good PDA and phone (although with a few quirks I've learned to live with), but it is showing its age.

Too bad it's not a GSM phone... :-( Looks quite interesting.

For me personally,
the most prevalent interest is the form factor. It has the appearance of a mix between the Motorola Razr and an WM PDA! :) Samsung seems to have done delightfully well in integrating it :robot:. Very nice, and refreshing!! Slim, above adequate memory aspect, screen is prominent 320x240 for dimensions and present battery limitations.. :P

Does anyone know if there is an average FCC approval to release timeframe from Samsung?

I suppose, they are also waiting on the WM6 release date as well. :!: this being mid year.. as I have heard  I am hoping for mid to end of second quarter.

In one of those screenshots from Endgadet, it says 2nd Q, so hopefully soon.
