I am considering purchasing a treo 700w. I have a few questions for anybody who has owned one.

1) I am uncertain whether it has built in wifi capability. Does it?
2) I currently have an AXIM x51v and it is great. It has a 624mhx processor. What is the processor speed of the treo 700w?
3) It claims 282 minutes of talk time. Is that really accurate?

Anybody out there that has experience with the treo I would appreciate your input.

I don't have one, but I can answer your questions.

It doesn't have Wi-Fi, but you can add it in via a Wi-Fi SDIO card.

2) I currently have an AXIM x51v and it is great. It has a 624mhx processor. What is the processor speed of the treo 700w?

It has an Intel XScale 312MHz CPU.

3) It claims 282 minutes of talk time. Is that really accurate?

Most "talk time" figures are purely theoretical. Real-world usage tends to differ. For example, screen brightness, volume/vibrate, and general usage patterns all play a part. I'm sure Treo 700w users here will be able to add their two cents on how long their device lasts on a single charge.

I have the Treo 700w from Verizon and it is the best PDA available as far as I am concerned however I would not buy a PDA Phone right now. Wait til the Windows Mobile 6 units come out next quarter.

I hope you are wrong. I can't wait to get the next EVDO Treo with Windows Mobile 6.
