Pop3 and ActiveSync

Just received an Ipaq 5910 Travel Companion. I want to be able to sync my e-mail between my work desktop and the 5910. I use Outlook 2003 with Pop3 accounts through my ISP at work. ActiveSync installed ok, and seems fine. After looking at some othe posts, there doesn't appear to be a way to sync sent messages from the 5910 to the Desktop, due to the PoP3 accounts. Is this correct, or am I missing something?

I'm not an email guru so this might not help much but I use active sync for my gmail account, it's POP3 and my outgoing messages are synced to gmail. I use the wireless to sync, are you using wireless or USB sync? It may be more a feature of gmail then me doing anything!
