I am usung Mio A701 as of right now.Generally, I am satisfied with it. Except for a lock of support from MiTac, and no desire from them to fix bugs until next ROM upgrade, wich, of course, replaces old bugs with new ones.

Ouch! Thanks for the report. Lack of good support will be a big issue for some.

I bought one of the previous Mio GPS devies the other day, and the GPS receiver is aweful. takes almost 4mins to get a satellite fix, and ages to pickup the signal again whem dropped. that is when standing outside!!

You must be picked up a bad device, as far as GPS capabilities it works very well, I would recomend you to take it back to a store an get it replaced.

Unless MiTac Mios have the perfect set of features that you are looking for, stay away from them. Like stated previously, their support is very bad. Their phones have bugs with Bluetooth headsets, with voice mail notifications and more. The support team doesn't care, and apparently incapable of fixing bugs, and what's worse, the phones aren't popular, so the community support is slow as well.
