manual network select on 8525

On my Ipaq 6515 I could select what cell tower I wanted to be on and on WM5 on the 8525 you dont have this option and I really need it is there a tweek out there that will allow me to do this?

It's a function of whether the carrier allows it, not the OS. As far as I'm aware, Cingular doesn't allow manual network selection anymore.

Thanks for the reply. My Ipaq 6515 was a cingular phone as well so I didn't know if it was a change in WM 5. I really would like to find a way around it because I don't get a real good signal at my house and my 6515 always showed two more cingular towers and if I picked one of them I kept a full signal. I never really understood why in automatic mode it won't change to one of the better towers I have even tried turning the phone off then back on but it still won't get a good tower

You might want to call Cingular customer service. An over-the-air SIM update might help.
