That's right -- no need to carry around that 4GB USB key if you've got 4GB residing in your phone -- right? Well, anyway, Sandisk's new SDHC (SD High Capacity) card -- announced at 3GSM just a little while ago -- has no official launch details at the moment outside of Sandisk's testing with OEMs to ensure phones don't freak out over such large memory cards being stuffed behind those batteries and in those side slots."</i><br /><br /><img src=http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/westfall-sandisk-4gbsdhc.jpg><br /><br />SD is <i>sooooo</i> 2004... 4 GB of microSD goodness. Now we just need 4<b>0</b> GB and I'll be estatic ;)

Yes, 40GB would make us ecstatic, but it wouldn't bode too well for our credit card account. :(

In the meantime, if you have a device that supports it, how about one of these bad boys (http://www.esend.com/sandisk/product.asp?sku=SDCFX3-16384-90) for $720.

I was sniffing around eBay for a 2G microSD for my X500, but now I may just wait. It would be cool to have my music, backups, and GPS maps all on a single card.

Hope this doesn't take long to get 'to market'

Do the latest htc devices like the tytn support sdhc on the microSD slots?

4 GB of microSD goodness

AWESOME!! but i guess this wont work with current microSD slots!! The question is "will it actually work with a patch, fix, firmware upgrade, whatever it is.. is it possible to get this working with just software :?:
