More on the Gigabyte GSmart q60 and t600

First on the list is the <a href="http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3634">q60</a> (pictured above), a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and single-band UMTS/HSDPA-capable device with an Intel XScale 520MHz CPU, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, digital TV and radio tuners, GPS receiver, 2.1-megapixel camera, and QWERTY thumb-board. Next on the list is the <a href="http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3633">t600</a> (pictured after the break), a tri-band GSM/GPRS only device (no EDGE?) with an Intel XScale 520MHz CPU, 96MB RAM and 256MB ROM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a stunning 2.6" VGA touch screen, and enhanced TV/radio support via DVB-T, DVB-H, DAB, and T-DMB. All I had to do was see the word 'tri-band' and that was all I needed to scroll to the next topic.

Any more info about exactly what they mean by digital TV and GPS, for the q60? Seems weird that they specify exactly what formats are supported by t600, but say nothing abt the q60?

At other places I've seen it worded as "optional TV and GPS applications".. What the heck does that mean? Sounds like some marketing bs, like additional hardware required (i.e. GPS over bluetooth).

I like the idea of having 3G, GPS &amp; TV (dvb-h or -t) in one neat, small device, and the question is if q60 could be it...?!?

The keypad on the q60 looks a little hard to type on but you can never tell by looks for sure. But anything from Gigabyte catches my eye, they don't seem to sell enough internationally though :cry:

besides the keyboard, the q60 sounds like a pretty good deal to me... I wonder if the storage space is similar to the t600

I am checking at the moment if the mobile is in english or chinese...
