I'm coming up on the fourth anniversary for my ipaq 5555 and I can't be sure, but I think it may start exibiting hardware problems. I've given it some rough treatment (unintentionally, of course - you won't want to buy this one on ebay). But I have to admit, it's really held up.
I've used it with a sleeve and screen cover that came with it, and I think to a large degree that has insulated it from the many drops. The only thing that has broken off is the plastic at the top. The metal case is solid as ever.
Anyway, I'm wondering if current PPC's are as durable as the ipaq 5555. Any data or articles on this? Any input?
