Hello

Not sure where to ask this.

I'm new to a pocket PC device (I have a JasJam arriving tomorrow) and want to get a couple utilities equivalent to ones on my current Symbian device.

I want something similar(better) than Handysafe - a secure password safe (Can be updated from desktop PC or Pocket PC device and then synced)

The second one is something equivalent to Handy Databank. I use this to extract data from a Microsoft Access DB(Databank can execute a query to get the data) on my desktop and create various 'files' on the Symbian device.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Cheers
Andrew

Hello Andrew,

There are several "password safe" applications out there. I use CodeWallet Pro (http://www.developerone.com/codewalletpro/mobile.htm) myself which does have a Pocket PC and Desktop edition which will sync back and forth though I am not entirely sure if the synchronization is on the record level or not.

Another app is eWallet (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ewallet.htm) which also appears to synchronize with a desktop application.

I thought I remember a comparison here at Pocket PC Thoughts but I was unable to find it.

Regarding Handy Databank, I would recommend HanDBase (http://www.ddhsoftware.com/handbase.html?UID=). It should be able to extract (possibly even sync) with your Access DB.

Thanks for the reply Mark - I'll check them out. I came across another Datbase possibility called "Data On The Run". I'll try both when i get the device.

Cheers

I've been using Flexwallet for quite some time, both on my hx4700 and on my smartphone. The desktop version is really great too. :)

And they have Symbain versions
