Don't get us wrong, it looks a little slicker, but the i760's attraction is more likely to lie the hardware itself -- not the ultra-mild update to the Pocket PC Phone Edition guts we've loved (and hated) for the past couple years. We expect this thing to hit Verizon stores before the first half of the year is out"</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/westfall-i760-crossbow-itw-1.jpg" /><br /><br />Crossbow appears, to fairly lukewarm reception by Engadget Mobile. Personally I'm excited to see any OS upgrade, I just wish Crossbow would Wow me a bit more!

Too bad it's got a camera on it.

Any word on anything like this sans camera? I can't have one at work. I'd love to upgrade my i730 sometime this year.

There are companies that will remove the camera or place a permanent plug over the lens. Pocket PC Techs comes to mind. Once the device is released, you may want to contact them and see if they'll be able to do it.
