http://office.microsoft.com/

"Microsoft Corp. today announced the completion of the 2007 Microsoft® Office system code and confirmed its release to manufacturing (RTM). This gold code milestone concludes the largest Microsoft Office beta program to date, with more than 3.5 million people downloading Beta 2. The unprecedented quantity of feedback from beta testers and customers helped the Office development team effectively validate product quality and optimize performance. Microsoft Office RTM also marks a critical step toward worldwide business availability of the 2007 Office system, Windows Vista™ operating system and Exchange Server 2007 on Nov. 30, 2006. To underscore the significance of this new day for business, Microsoft executives will participate in events around the globe, including an event with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer in New York. General availability of the products will follow in early 2007."

The 2007 Office system hit RTM today, and apart from general code completion, a few additional features were announced. One such feature is SMS Link for Outlook 2007, which allows you to connect with your contacts by sending and receiving e-mails, contact cards, calendar appointments, and tasks as text messages. Outlook 2007 works great with Windows Mobile, Windows Vista and the Windows Mobile Device Center, so if you're looking at upgrading, you can brush most compatibility fears aside. Business users will be able to pick up the new Office at the end of this month. Unfortunately, general consumers will have to wait until early next year.

I am not sure if this will be addressed in future versions of the Pocket PC OS, but my experience with the beta of Office 2007 showed one snag. Since Word saves under a new format, my hand held does not recognize documents saved that way.

The user has to remember to save their documents under a Word 97 - 2003 format before it can synced to the pocket PC.

Just my $.02

I haven't used any of Office 2007 yet, but on a random note, the new packaging is killer - very well designed from what I can see so far...
