I know that there are remote control programs which will let you use your PPC from the desktop over ActiveSync, including input via the desktop's keyboard. Would that work?

Need a little help with this one :)

But first i'll explain. Since recently I have a new corporate laptop on which, for security reasons, employees don't have administrator rights. As a consequence I have very limited possibilities to install new software, anything that touches the registry is off-limits. Fortunately most things I need (active-sync) ar epre-installed, but I don't have MSN! My friends tell me to buy a PC just for that, but I know you'll understand I prefer to use my axim! So that's where the remote keyboard comes in.

Remote Keyboard seems promising enough. It consists of a desktop component and an axim component. Ironically the desktop part installs wel, apparently no registry involved. But the activesync installer doesn't work for me, so

Does anyone have a CAB file for me? (WM5)

usually, when you install a program through activesync, there is a CAB file somewhere in program files.

Thanks

Works like a charm, right away!

Ehmm, there is one little thing though. Usually I synch through BT. But when I activesync through BT, I loose my WIFI connection to the internet. Is that some kind of setting?

Thanks

If you're talking about using BT to synch WHILE maintaining a WiFi connection on your Dell, in my experience my Dell gets "confused" by having two wireless connections going at once. AFAIK, you can't do both.

BTW, I'm intrigued by your name. Exactly how do you pronounce "Kuifje?"

I would guess "KIFF-yay," but I'm probably WAY off!
