It packs an Intel Bulverde 520MHz CPU, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, infrared, an FM tuner, a 2.7" QVGA display, a 2.0-megapixel camera, a miniSD slot, and Windows Mobile 5.0. Unfortunately, it falls short in the connectivity department, with only tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (missing 850MHz) support present.

Very nice device! Indeed, only things missing is EDGE(?) and 850 Mhz (and maybe video-call). The device seems to be smaller than HTC's models. I have the Qtek 9100 (HTC Wizard) and there is a lot of space above and below the screen. This device seems to be significantly smaller. Hopefully it comes with AKU 3.3 with A2DP/AVRCP and PAN support in it.

Edit: Ah, I just realized, it doesn't have hardware buttons for the softkeys. :(

This is the second Ruski PPC i see this year, an like the first one, it packs a punch (Sorry dont remember the name of it).

Are the russians going for a lead in PPC production, trying to outperforme HTC? 8O

What I don't understand is, now that HP has brocken the 1GB ROM storrage limmit, when are the others going to cach up on that?

It has EGPRS 10, that's the another name for EDGE. But it would be nice to have HSDPA.

Aha!!! now doesn't this remind you so much of the HP iPAQ rw 68xx series devices or the O2 Xda Atom and Atom Exec?

Is it the same device in another form??? :)

Exactly my thinkin'... It resembles the Quanta device a lot! Look at the position of the speakers on the front, the button layout and off course the specs... I too think it's the Atom :)

It's more likely to compete with ETEN G500 and MIO A701, just look at the specs. GPS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Tri-Band, etc... Good device, but it comes out a year too late to make a noise in PDA market.

this device is most similar to O2 Atom-Exec.

However, all that being said, all these new devices that are being so called "INTRODUCED" but somehow fall short of making it in to our market area if at all, which is quiet disappointing. I live in Bay Area Calif, the center of technology, however, this would be the last place on earth to see these newly advanced devices that keep popping up out of nowhere which is very disheartening.

What I like to see is a subsidiary company to come in and buy these devices or be the middle man (agent) so to speak and make them international as soon as they hit the market. Not only that would impress the hell out of me but it would also get me very excited about them.

So, apart from wishing someday to have one of these units in my hand I will have to keep my hopes and enthusiasm in check or on the bench rather in hopes of that "SOMEDAY" when and if by the stroke of god if nothing else, I will be able to get a sniff at them other than just read about them on the net.

Well it's a cross between an Atom and an Atom Exec... the Atom Exec has 192MB of memory while the Atom has only 128 MB...

This G5 has the memory of the Atom and the proc of the Atom Exec.
