I know it's a crazy question but can WM2003 SE be purchased these days? The MS site sure doesn't make it easy to find out. Someone just gave me a Toshiba e750 in perfect condition but it's running PPC2002. I'm currently using an iPAQ 2215 with WM2003 so I could convert to the Toshiba if it's worth it to do an OS upgrade. My question is mainly about the OS software so I posted here. Thanks !

There are no generic WM upgrades. If you want to upgrade, you need to get a version tailored to your device from the manufacturer. Toshiba made an upgrade for the e750 from 2002 to 2003, but not to 2003SE or later. You might check the Toshiba forum here on PPCT, to see whether anyone still has a copy of it that they would be willing to give/sell you.

ebay use to sell it...search for it on google/ebay... u could try and contact toshiba...they use to give a free upgrade cd to all e750 owners with wm2002...i personally bought a e740 with wm2002... returned it after a week.

got a hold of the e750 with wm2003...not SE..but it is still MUCH better than wm2002.... if u can find one...dont bother using it...stick to the ipaq.

Apparently sometime between 2002 and 2003 Toshiba switched manufacturers for a part or something which then made the 2003 upgrade useless for the 2002 models. Spryo on BH was attempting to hack something together but I don't think anything concrete was ever accomplished.
Feel free to read through 30 pages and if you can successfully figure out how or how to switch back...good luck to you. (http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=178549)

BTW, there was a company that needs Toshiba 2002's because their commercial application was designed for it and the developer disappeared same time 2003 came about. Not being able to work it on 2003, he has been trying to acquire 2002's or find a way to switch 2003's back...Maybe you could sell for a "suitable" price?
