View Full Version : Endlessly synchronising files

A small irritation.

There are two files which are endlessly synchronising.

Any ideas how to locate the offending files?

Is this a known symptom of something horrible?

(I have just smugly announced that I haven't had a hard reset in years: asking for trouble?)

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere: I tried a couple of searches.

Thanks in advance for any clues...

First of all, backup before you do anything.

Now, the simplest way to resolve this would be to move all the files out of the sync folder, and slowly reintroduce them (a few at a time) until you trigger the problem; you can then rapidly narrow it down to a particular offender.

(It's also possible the problem will magically disappear via this technique. Either way, good luck!)

Or you can manually sync without files, I do not see any necessarity of Synching the file instead of coping them.

Or you can choose a backup software to help finish the operation if you do need more choices. I personally use Sprite Backup, and Active Sync is just a tool to get them connected.

I actually had this problem myself. I ended up switching from the cradle to the direct wire and it worked without problems. (I was also getting Synchronization Failed messages).
