Software need to do this.......

I have an ipaq and would like software to take a picture with and then add text to it. this info then needs to be saved in a database so i can retrive it all with easy.

Is there anything that can do this?

None that I can think of.

Closest could be OneNote Mobile - you can take pictures, add notes to it, and then save it as a OneNote file. You can only acquire it via the latest beta of Office 2007, though.

OneNote no good as it need windows mobile 2005 and i have a Ipaq 6515 which runs windows mobile 2003.

any one else know of anything that can do what im looking for ?

You could also consider editing the IPTC caption info of your images - you can put any text in there and, then, on the desktop, can even "burn" those text onto the image if you'd like to do so. See http://www.winmobiletech.com/PICVIEWERS for more info.

I don't know if you distinctly need the caption to be part of the JPG itself, but you might consider a database program like HanDBase for logging, tracking and searching of captions and related information. In fact, the HanDBase site has several photo-related databases available free for download.
