I tested version 2.6 of this program and was utmostly amazed that it seems impossible to launch files, only programs.

Does this version include this possibility at last?

It's indispensable to be able to group and have a DIRECT access to different file types concerning e.g. a same project.

I used to use StarTap a very powerful freeware since my Palm-sized PC days on my Cassiopeia E-105.

It can do all this and a lot more.

However since it doesn't support VGA (and probably not WM5 too; but I'm on 03SE) I have to find something else. Too bad because it's by far the most powerful I've had in almost a decade(!) now.

Problems with Today launchers is that either they have trouble with VGA (cLauncher) or they don't support displaying the files names, mandatory when you work on, say, a few different files generated by the same application.

Thanks & regards

Jelpy

Pocket Launcher 2.X has always had the ability to launch files and documents. You can even make folder shortcuts and navigate into them. It also does support VGA and does display file names.

If you would like to link to a document, use the File Explorer and tap-and-hold on a file, and pick Copy, and then navigate to \Program Files\Conduits\Pocket Launcher\data\TabName and pick Edit > Paste Shortcut. You can also do the same thing with your My Documents folder itself.

I love Pocket Launcher. Unfortunately, it doesn't like my Axim. I have an Axim x50v, and periodically when I power up the device, my screen is filled with blue stripes. If I rotate the screen, sometimes it comes back--other times not; then I have to reset. But it only ever happens when I'm running Pocket Launcher--and it happens too frequently to make the software useful. Is there any insight into why this is happening?

Please try out our new 3.0 version. It fixes problems in the 2.7 version, and adds some new features. More information is available here (http://www.conduits.com/news/pr20070122.html).
