Hi all,
I have a TMobile MDA Windows Mobile 5.0

I am looking for an MP4 player. I dont want to create mp4's I already have them in that format, I just want something that will play mp4's. I want to keep Windows Media Player on there for my music.
Thanks all. I am looking for payware or freeware. Freeware perferred but I will pay for it if I absoloutly have to.

Also I am looking for an emulator that will play Nintendo Games or Game Boy advance games or Gameboy Color games. I noticed the topic a couple down but I wasnt sure if they will work for a WM 5.0 device. I noticed they were all for Pocket PC format. Will they work for 5.0?

The short answer is TCPMP.

The long answer depends on if you are talking about video encoding only, or complete MPEG 4 Part 14 files Part 2 or Part 10, and whether the audio is part 3 (AAC) or not. Read this for a primer on the various MPEG4 parts: http://mobilesmith.blogspot.com/2006/08/mpeg4-overview.html

There is also more information on TCPMP and both AVC and AAC playback here: http://feederreader.pocketcasting.com/viewtopic.php?p=1698#1698

If you are only needing MPEG4 Part 2 video and Part 3 audio, then you can get that solution today.

As of last week the status of TCPMP has not changed. And yes this means that we've been waiting a long time for officially-licensed decent AVC playback. We're not waiting for the plugin to be coded, which was sampled late last year. We're only waiting for the licensing and/or business arrangement to be cleared up. As the Core Codec website suggests, we might "Learn more on September 10th, 2006".
