I have a T-Mobile MDA (WM5) and can not get it to send email through my SMTP server.

I can configure my desktop to work remotely and othe rmachines, but not the MDA.

The server is sendmail and pop3, both with ssl support. I can make a secure connection with pop and download email, but sending it gives an error and I get this in my server log...

sendmail[3008]: STARTTLS=server, relay=208.54.94.33, version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=NO, cipher=RC4-MD5, bits=128/128
sendmail[3008]: k7GKuqmx003008: 208.54.94.33 did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to TLSMTA

Been trying all day, reading boards and am at a loss. The server requires authentication, it doesn't do the pop3 login to verify trick.

Any clues?

Any clues? Have you tried alternate email clients? flexmail? QMail?
