Does anyone know a piece of software that you can control you desktop through your pocket pc. I rememer seeing such a program one night but didn't find a use for it then.
Basically I'm looking for a program to do the following...connecting through bluetooth or infared.

- control windows media for dvd use
- game controller for emulator use.
- use as a wireless keyboard.

Thanks for your help.

Check out PPC Tablet (http://www.aacompserv.com/AACompWeb/Modules/PPCTablet/WhatIsIt.aspx). It's an excellent application, and customisable with third-party plug-ins. I've written a set of Media Center, Winamp, and iTunes plug-ins, if any are of interest to you. You can grab the former from this page (http://www.aacompserv.com/AACompWeb/Modules/PPCTablet/profiles.aspx). The latter two should be included in the application.

Nothing that will do all togusa00 wants. There are standalone apps that are targeted at specific applications, like this (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=768), but none with the comprehensive capabilities of PPC Tablet.

You can also use NetOP, which is is my favorite.

Nope, unfortunately. Mine is company-bought :) You can however visit www.danwaredata.com and check it yourself...

I have a program called Pocket Controller. It works great. I'll hook you up with it if you want, just let me know.

I've heard great things about Pocket Controller...just always been more than I could afford at the moment.

I take it back (http://preview.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1497)...not quite in the same class as PPC Tablet that Darius mentioned, but pretty close and freeware to boot.

There is also Stylish (http://www.kasuei.com/stylish/), which serves as a basic wireless trackpad. I never got it to work 100% of the time, which is why I switched to PPC Tablet, and as a bonus, the latter is still being developed and maintained.

I have used Terminal Services and VNC to just create a remote session to my PC, so I have complete control over the PC. And both are free.

I've used LogMeIn before and been very satisfied. It's almost like a VPN. There's two versions - the freeware one (that I used) and a fee-based service that get's you a few more bells and whistles. But like I said, the free version met all my needs (accessing my work PC remotely, geting files, emailing them from my work PC somewhere else, etc.)

I think they're at logmein.com
