Hi, I have an hx4700. So far have only used it for TomTom Navigator, but will soon need it for more.

- What is the best screenshot program (hopefully free)?

- What is the best remote screen software, where I can operate on the iPaq remotely from a PeeCee (hopefully free)?

- I gather that Pocket Informant is the best contact management software? How does one sync the data? Must it be done manually? I do not have Outlock installed, so is it possible to sync PI without it?

I used to have an iPaq3950, and had a real bad experience as that version of Winduhs was so buggy I couldn't even use it to make a note. Once, I was on a customer site and had to make a note, and tried every way available, and each either crashed, hung, or just didn't work. That was when I got fed up and installed Opie (http://opie.handhelds.org), which turned out to be a real blessing. Stable, functional, intuitive, and comprehensive.

Unfortunately though, I must run Winduhs on the 4700 for TomTom. I am scared to death of relying on it though. Anyone use WM2003 for actual commercial-grade use?

Another wrinkle. I can not upgrade the iPaq, as the upgrade must not be done through a USB hub. Well, all my servers run Linux, and I must install normal iPaq software by running Win2k as a VMware virtual machine guest over Debian. This presents a virtual USB hub to the iPaq, which is fine for most iPaq software, but not for installing the OS. I have no other Winduhs machines available to me, so any suggestions on how I can safely install WM2005? When I tried to install WM2003SE this way, it busted my iPaq and I had to send it in for repair.
