i am trying to become a cooking buff of sorts. list your favorite/fast recipes here (and here's my little contribution):

If you like a filet of salmon, here's how I prepare mine...

What you need:
- Mayonnaise
- Salt
- Garlic powder
- Black Pepper
- Thinly sliced lemons and carrots (mainly for a slight kick and garnish)

Preparation:
Let's say you have a 1/2 pound of salmon... basically apply the seasonings first by sprinkling a couple pinches of salt, then sprinkle garlic powder just enough to cover top surface, then black pepper according to preference. Then take mayo and spread over salmon and seasonings. This part is really up to how much you want on there, but I like mine to be a thin layer enough to just cover the top once again.

Cook Time:
Oven should be set at 425 degrees (bake) and let salmon cook for about 10-11min, or at least till you see the mayo brown a little.

Mayo???!!! 8O Good gods man! Where are you? I'm gonna come over there right now and grill you up some real salmon!

Plain Salmon:
Coat salmon with organic, first press olive oil, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Let sit 10 minutes.
Grill for 10 minutes an inch, skin side down. Don't flip it!
Salmon will be done when it's no longer translucent and it flakes. Don't overcook it!

Teriyaki Salmon:
The best teriyaki sauce we've found for salmon is SoyVay's Veri Veri Teriyaki (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0005XNX88/qid=1152926381/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-4872719-6103250?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=3370831).
Vacuum marinate (http://www.vacuvin.nl/dining_instantmarinater.html) the salmon for 10 minutes in the teriyaki sauce. Grill according to instructions above. I like to pour some extra sauce on the fire and get some smoky taste in there. Serve with basmati rice and sauteed snow peas. Mmmmmmm.....

Boy is this off topic. :D
