Unable to install SPB software on win mob5.o

For some unknown reasons I get application manager can not install SPB software due to invalid setup file. But cab files on SD card get installed, but when using activesync , I get above message---so i am unable to install spab back up on desktop and ppc. I have activesync 4.2 and have ETEN M600+ with windows mobile 5.0

Have you tried re-downloading and re-installing the Spb desktop installers, and also tried re-installing ActiveSync?

Yes, in fact several times. I even upgraded activesync from 4.1 to 4.2 and tried spb software from pocketgear, handango as well as spb directly. No luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hmm, that's odd.

You would only really get such errors if (a) you attempt to execute the desktop installers on the Pocket PC itself, or (b) the desktop installers are corrupt. Have you tried another computer (if you have access to one)?
