This works, for example, with Acrobat Reader 2.0 and J9 PP (eliminates pixel-doubling)
1. Copy app .EXE file (like AcroRd32.exe or j9w.exe) from your PocketPC to desktop PC via Activesync
2. Download freeware utility ResHack: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
3. Create two-byte '01 00' binary file or download it here: http://rapidshare.de/files/25529064/01-00.bin.html
4. Run ResHack on your desktop PC and open copied .EXE file; select Action/Add a new Resource... menu; press Open file with new resource... button; select 01-00.bin file; in Resource Type input field type CEOX; in Resource Name input field type HI_RES_AWARE; press Add Resource button; File/Save modified .EXE
5. Copy modified .EXE back to your PocketPC (don't forget to save original copy)
