Hey all,

The new and even better v2.0 of DVD Catalyst was released today, I reviewed v1.0 on here some time ago and it was already a good product, very low price - no it's not free but for the small registration price you help support the author and he provides fantastic email/forum support should you ever have any questions or issues... and no I'm not affiliated with him, just a very happy customer! :)

New Design
The whole design of DVD Catalyst has been redesigned from the ground up. Numerous variations have been tested for usablilty, only to make DVD Catalyst even more user-friendly then before.

Automatic Cropping
While all previous versions already included advanced cropping and stretching features, now black-bar removal and automatically fit to screen has never been easier. .

Easy Device Updates
DVD Catalyst supports 99% of the devices on the market, including devices that are not even in production yet. Almost all of the common output formats are already supported, but when new devices become available, small updates will be provided on the DVD Catalyst website for inclusion of new devices. Is your device not listed, just send us an email with the specifications or a product website for the device, and we will surely be able to provide you with a working solution.

Multiple Devices
With so many devices that are supported, it's quite possible that you have more then one device capable of video playback. Instead of selling numerous similar products that are limited to a single device, DVD Catalyst offers all into one program. DVD Catalyst even allows you to automatically "queue-up" multiple devices for the same selection of movies; With just a few clicks, you can have your movies converted for your PocketPC, your iPOD AND your PSP without having to wait or restart the program.

Profiles
All those options and everything can surely make things a bit complicated, but DVD Catalyst allows you to save your device-lists with the options for the next time. You can save up as many different configurations as you want, and whenever you need them, they will be there.

If you are like us, you can even select the profile you want to use at startup of the program, and after selecting your movies, you end up directly at the conversion screen, ready to start the process.

If you do not have a multitude of devices, you can also select the device you have from the start as well, and bypass many of the complicated options.

Besides all that
Besides all the new stuff added to make it as easy as possible, all the stuff from the old version is still there as well:

Chapter-Split, only got small memory cards, or you want to have the movies in more manageable chunks for watching, it's still there

Region-Free. DVD Catalyst uses a different method of accessing the DVD's, allowing it to convert different-region (Europe, USA, Asia) DVD's, even if your computer can't play these DVD's

Start-Stop time adjustment, To make the files a little smaller, or increase the quality while still being able to fit it on your memory card, you can "cut-off" the start-ending credits of a movie.

Batch-Mode, there is NOTHING that comes even close to the batching capabilities of DVD Catalyst. You can add as much files/movies as you want, for as many different devices as you want, and it will all nicely get done. Version 2 even keeps track during conversion on the start-stop times of each individual conversion so you can keep track of how things are going.

And there is a LOT more...

Regards,

Fedorov.
