I am getting ready to send my 2215 in to ppc techs for repair (it has to be repaired because i dropped it in water) when I got to thinking, what if the repairs cost more than i really want to pay?
should I apply that money towards a new unit?
For me, the 2215 has been a great unit. I have never had any problems with it.

The question is: what would you replace this unit with?

Don't think of it as replacement. Use the experience you had with the 2215 to formulate a set of needs/requirements and see what fits them. Are dual slots important to you, is QVGA still OK, want WiFi now or doesn't matter?

I replaced....no, upgraded....my 2215 with a 4700 and have not looked back (well, not much). The 4700 is bigger to carry around, but I can do so much more with it. VGA, WiFi, more RAM... I'm sure there are other alternatives, but I'm very pleased with my replacement.

Good call. I've got both of those devices and really liked them both. And, as long as it meets YOUR needs, that's all that matters.
