View Full Version : Auto answer on O2 Atom Torq P120

I bought the Atom to replace my Nokia 8220 and Palm Tungsten T3 PDA hoping to get the best of both worlds (a PDA with integrated phone).

I was disappointed to find that the Atom does cannot be set to autoanswer.

This is important to me because I like to have the headset plugged in under my motorbike helmet. This is what I had with the Nokia and it was very useful and safer, to be able to automatically answer the phone before pulling over to have the conversation. I think this is much safer than scrambling to pull over before the caller hangs up.

I also bought the P120 to compare the two especially the voice command and it does have autoanswer but I was disappointed to find that the autoanswer on the P120 cannot be set to only work when the headset is plugged in.

It either answers all calls or none.

I have not been able to apply the latest rom patch to either device because of restrictions on my (work) PC that stop activesync from working.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed on either device with the latest ROM or else if any of the other similar devices do this properly?

Cheers
Tony
