Charging problem O2 mini

hi today for the first time in about 3 months i had the the o2 mini i let the battery die completly im in canada and i didnt have the a/c charger so i have been using usb but i notice when i plug in my usb the phone doesnt respond no lights or anything i tried reseting but that doesnt respond either anyone have any ideas do i need to get the a/c charger??

Sounds like the battery is so flat that USB charging won't help - that only supplies 5V, 500mA. The AC charger supplies 5V 2000mA.
