I have MagicButton installed and I find it great but there are times when I'm using my PDA with one hand and I want to switch between apps. I have one of the hardware buttons mapped to "application switch" using ButtonMax but it's tedious going through all the apps you don't want (including the today screen). I'm looking for something that will be activated with a hardware button and then you can select the app you want (from those currently running) with the D pad. I suppose something similar to ALT-Tab on Windows.

Spb Pocket Plus (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en) has a feature like that.

Check out WisBar Lite - very small footprint and allows you to map the CloseOK (actually closes) feature to a hardware button:

WisBar Lite cost $5, but if you wish to gain similar functionality you can add ZapIt (in addition to Magic Button). The net will result in a larger footprint and require more system resources. It is discussed and can be downloaded in the following thread at pdaphonehome.com:

I use PHM Powertoys (http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/phmpocketpcpowertoys.shtml) that has an alt-tab included. I map it to a button and it's easy to use...and free!

The newest version of Dinarsoft's HandySwitcher also allows stylus-free task switching and app closing.

I assigned Spb Pocket Plus' Close Button Context Menu applet to a button and just use that in conjunction with the d-pad.
