I have a Motorola MPX220 and a Dell Axim X5. I want to upgrade to one device and like the two above models. Now I know the 6900 is not out yet and not sure when it will be. I was looking for advice on which model people prefer. Any owners of the 6500 have any feedback?

Thank you

Justin

I have a handfull of friends that upgraded to the Cingular 8125 and love it. I messed around with one and found that it was super easy to use and met a lot of my needs. I currently have a smartphone and considering upgrading to the 8125 myself.

The other thing that I enjoyed is the slide out keyboard on the 8125. It makes texting and sending out emails easier and faster.

I say go with the 8125 :D

I have the 8125 and love it. It's very solid - as in, very very few hangs, the phone is also rock solid and performs well, it's pretty quick at running multiple apps considering the low-end processor, and is just great to work with. I previously carried two devices every day for work (and Axim and a Treo 650) and now just use the 8125.

I decided to buy the 8125 and really enjoy it. I got tired of waiting for HP to release theirs. Plus this one has a larger screen. So I recommend it.

I have had the 8125 for 5 months now and I absolutely love it. I have only had one problem with it (very minor) this past week as a matter of fact, but the problem was solved thanks to members from this forum. Since I bought mine, I have gotten three other people in my office to get one. They love it too.

I don't know much about the 6900. I was debating between the 6500 and the 8125 when I pulled the trigger on the 8125. Biggest reasons for me were price and availability. HP always seems to drag their feet on everything.

I used to have the 6515 and upgraded to the 8125. I like the 8125 much better. I'm not too impressed with anything HP makes anymore.

I'd also go for the 8125.

also on verge of 8125 (ax 50 and cell phone now), any issues with the processor speed and video/music; also, never had a device with keyboard- are they stable (worried about breakage)?

The 8125 is very well made. No keyboard issues at all. I was worried about the same thing but when you hold one you'll see how solid it is.

It is not however a speed demon. Music is no problem but the few times I have viewed a movie it stutters a bit. I haven't tried watching video since the ROM upgrade however.

With most apps, it's OK. With games, some titles (SuperTux, SkyForce Reloaded - two current big hits that have speed problems) may require overclocking. The latte ris pretty stable though.

It's pretty solid. I have no probs either.
