Question about windows mobile 5.0

hi i recently purchased an O2 xda mini s of ebay i notice theres a whole lot of O2 application that i dont need another thing is i dont even have the windows mobile 5.0 my question is if i get the windows mobile 5.0 can i hard reset my device and just install windows mobile 5.0? or does anyone know of a way that i can get rid of all the junk maybe switching it to imate cause i live in canada and the extras doesnt help a bit thank you

Unfortunately, you cannot acquire a base Windows Mobile 5.0 image and flash your device with it. Each device ships with an OEM-specific version of Windows Mobile 5.0, and only that can be applied to the device.

Because all the O2 applications are embedded in the ROM, there's no real way to uninstall them. You can hide the shortcuts in the Programs page if you wish. Simply open up File Explorer and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs, and then delete the icons you no longer want visible.
