Be gentle, please...I searched and didn't get any results.

I bought the upgrade to PocketPC2003 but am nervous about installing it. How did it go for you? Any hints to make it less traumatic for me?

I did this long time ago. Mainly a great upgrade for the basic PPC functionality. If you have 3rd party wifi, blutooth, or gps devices and they are working great for you, you might want to reconsider.

Its been a while but I do recall my upgrade went very smooth, the biggest pain was reinstalling all of the extra stuff I had my X5 (the upgrade will hard reset your device). So my advice is...

Do an inventory of all the 3rd party applications you have installed and make sure you have (a) the files needed to reinstall the software and (b) your registration codes. Do not try to restore previously installed software from any sort of back up file...that tends to lead to some evilness.
