Folks, we have a couple of nice and thorough reviews for you to check out if you're in the market for either a GPS Bluetooth Receiver or are considering an all-in-one GPS/PDA unit. Between the two reviews, there is plenty of analysis, screenshots, and benchmarks for all to enjoy. :D

First, SoloPalmari article compares five different convergent units (plus one non-convergent PDA combined with a separate GPS receiver). The second is a GPSPassion review which compares a couple of Bluetooth GPS Receivers: the Royaltek/Seidio RBT-2010 and the very popular Globalsat BT-338. BTW, am I the only one who finds that screenshot above a bit frightening?! :|

BTW, am I the only one who finds that screenshot above a bit frightening?! Not just scary, but illegal in at least two US states*. Reminiscent of a Dale Coffing dashboard pic of a few years back. Back then he had to work to find 3 or 4 to test. Now you have to be selective to keep it down to half a dozen. Pretty cool.

*NOTICE TO DRIVERS IN CALIFORNIA AND MINNESOTA: State law prohibits drivers in California and Minnesota from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. Other Garmin dashboard or friction mounting options should be used. Garmin does not take any responsibility for any fines, penalties, or damages that may be incurred as a result of disregarding this notice. (See California Vehicle Code Section 26708(a); Minnesota Statutes 2005, Section 169.71)

We forgot to delete, from the mirror, ZioMeme's eyes photographed after 4 hours he was driving with all those lights coming from the PDA screens. 8)

Ciao, Gianni.

What do you mean?

I think it was a harmless joke. Seven devices and based on the car's surroundings, the driver still appears to be in the middle of nowhere. ;)
