I have just purchased a Tivo and am interested in setting up the Tivo-to-Go functionality. I have an iPAQ 4155 which is not Windows Mobile 5.0.

Can I simply download Windows Media Player 10 and install it?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the release of Windows Media Player Mobile is tied to the OEM, and it was never released for the iPAQ h4155.

Version 10 only surfaced in select devices running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition and all devices running Windows Mobile 5.0.

Darn it Darius! I was going to answer this one.

Well anyways, right, to use Tvo-to-go natively and legally you need WMP10 here's a quick tutorial

However, all is not lost. There is a number of sites that explain how you can take the .tivo (DRM protected MPeg2 file) and use products such as Nero Recode, etc to convert the file for use under WMP9 or betaplayer, etc.

Just google it, I won't post the direct sites here since there are some that feel this may be a license issue. A google of Tivo on pocketpc or such should find you the tivo community posts on it.
