DirectDraw error

i installed Sompyplayer on my tmobile MDA and when i try to view any video files, i get a directdraw error. when i close the error screen and hit play - it plays the sound but no picture. what is directdraw - any ideas on this?

I've found Sompy Player to be very much an unfinished product - I'd suggest sticking with TCPMP.
