Pocket Pollster is a mobile data collection application that allows one to quickly convert most any paper form into its digital equivalent. It's an easy-to-use, highly effective tool that revolutionizes the way data is collected by an organization. Pocket PCs have long proven themselves as great extensions of the Microsoft Outlook information that we use on our desktop & laptop computers. Pocket Pollster extends this ability to most any kind of data that needs to be collected - by 1 person or by 1,000.
The software works like this:
1. On a Windows computer, a person creates a series of questions and possible answers (or freeform if required). All of this information is stored in a template. When they're done, the template is "published", making it available to any number of Pocket PC users.
2. These mobile users then sync their devices with the Windows computer and the template is seamlessly copied over.
3. Away from their office, they open the template and follow the instructions within, gathering information as they normally would with a pen, paper form, and a clipboard. But an important advantage of Pocket Pollster is that the data only has to be entered once, not twice, as is the case with every paper form whose data subsequently has to be keypunched back into a central database.
4. When the mobile users next sync, the data they've collected is transferred back to the Windows computer, where it accumulates over time. This data and the corresponding statistics can then be analyzed at any point, by any authorized user. It can even be exported to other software applications too.
Any kind of data can be collected with Pocket Pollster, be it related to marketing, industrial data collection, tradeshows, consumer surveys, or whatever. In fact, one of the fundamental aspects of the software is that it is universally applicable to every job function that benefits from mobile data collection. If data is currently being collected on pieces of paper, then it's very likely that Pocket Pollster will be able to gather it in a smarter, more effective way.
